GAME
MANUAL

Everything you need to name your Babo, move, fight, communicate, and understand each game mode.

01

Create your Babo

Open Profile from the main menu. Click the Player name field and type a name up to 31 characters. Choose a skin, then use the three RGB slider groups to recolor its layers. Your profile and controls are saved in this browser.

Name colors

Type a caret followed by a number to change the color of everything after it. The code itself disappears in the rendered name.

^0 Black^1 Blue^2 Green^3 Cyan^4 Red^5 Purple^6 Brown^7 Gray^8 Yellow^9 White

Example: ^4Red ^1BaboRed Babo

Babo Alt codes

Hold either Alt, type the four-digit Babo code using the number row or number pad, then release Alt. These are the complete 32 special characters built into the Babo font. They intentionally differ from standard Windows Alt codes; for example, Alt+0155 produces ø in BaboViolent.

For characters outside this Babo-specific range, see the standard Alt Codes reference. Unsupported glyphs will not appear in the Babo font.

02

Game modes

Server names identify their mode. Champion servers exclusively rotate CHP maps.

CTF

Capture the flag

Take the enemy flag back to your own flag pod. Your own flag must be home to score.

TDM

Team deathmatch

Red and blue race to the score limit. Work angles together and avoid friendly clustering.

FFA

Deathmatch

Every other player is an enemy. The first player to the score limit wins.

CHP

Champion

Everyone is an enemy. The upper clock is total match time; the lower clock is a three-minute mini-round. At each mini-round reset, projectiles are cleared and every player receives a fresh spawn assignment.

05

Server voting

Voting-enabled servers let active players propose a map or game-mode change without an administrator. The server accepts only commands placed on its voting allowlist, so voting cannot be used to run arbitrary console commands.

Start a vote

Press ` to open the console, enter one of the commands below, then press Enter. A vote remains open for 30 seconds. Only one vote can run at a time.

vote changemap CTF-AlertChange to a specific available map.
vote set sv_gameType 0Switch to FFA deathmatch.
vote set sv_gameType 1Switch to team deathmatch.
vote set sv_gameType 2Switch to capture the flag.
vote set sv_gameType 3Switch to Champion.

Cast your vote

When another player starts a vote, the proposal and current totals appear on screen. Press F1 for Yes or F2 for No. Players who are actively participating may vote once; spectators do not count as active voters.
